| During this course we explore the practices of brahmaviharas, beautiful qualities of heart and mind, that the Buddha advised to practice and cultivate. They are kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy and equanimity, and they have a central role in the Buddhist practice.
Brahmaviharas offer nourishment for the heart and mind and support their settling. We play with different ways of cultivating and tuning into these qualities inviting creativity, sensitivity and playfulness to the exploration with the intention for everyone to find skill and personally meaningful relationship to these ancient practices, so that they can become alive in our practice. We also explore how these qualities shape both the landscape of our heart/mind and our perception, and how they can support insight into emptiness.
The course contains teachings, guided meditations and times for questions and answers. |
